I find watching heel vs jobber fights very exciting and often erotic - specially if the heel is athletic and barefooted. I thought that being part of the fight as a jobber would intensify my excitement. So I joined a BJJ club to have that exposure, and I sometimes practice with advanced guys so I get that jobber feelings.
To my surprise, I realized that the excitement of watching two guys fight is not the same as being one of those guys. I find watching to be more exciting!

Let’s take headscissors as an example. I get aroused when I watch a relaxed heel headscissoring a struggling jobber. What I find sexy is the heel’s facial expressions and physique, the jobber’s panic movements, the body contact between them, the sense of the heel’s barefeet on the jobber skin… etc.

However, in reality at the BJJ club, none of those things that excite me feel relevant during the practice! The feeling of the guys feet on my skin is normal and not stimulating at all, and the practice feels like a workout, a sport, that has nothing to do with sexual excitement or pleasure! I’m disappointed! 😂

Disappointed that reality doesn’t match fantasy! Can someone help me understand what’s going on and if there’s a way to make reality feel more like fantasy?

Hi! My experience is quite different. I'm attracted to both total submission and domination. My favorite is the Chicken wing armbar, along with the captured wrist break. You can escalate the grip to abandonment, but we prefer to just hold it for a while. Release is out of the question. Which version you prefer, I think, depends on personality. Probably what KS56 said. If you joined a “legitimate“ BJJ club then you’re probably learning the art of fighting for real and are in an environment that is for physical development and practical combat experience for “the real world“ and doing it within a community design.

Now, if you were to perhaps meet some of those more experienced guys in private and have them have their way with you with the same moves, I bet you (and him) will get that feeling of fantasy in that situation. Only doing it in an open, public space may make it more vanilla. Does that make sense?

Loved it! And yes, it makes perfect sense! That was my thinking as well, and it led me to taking few private classes with some of the advanced guys who I find attractive. But even when we were alone, the session felt technical as opposed to sensual.
The things we talk about and do during the session are about techniques, body anatomy, psychology of the opponent… etc.
Probably, like you said, these guys are legit and the intensity of knowledge transfer during the session keeps almost no space in my mind to fantasize about things!

I think if BOTH participants are in to the Dom/sub fetish and are each aware of it, then things would get “juicy”.

The next step would be trying to find a way to broach the subject in a fun way. Like, maybe in casual small talk during or after a session, jokingly but excitedly mentioning that a totally one-sided session between an expert and a novice is sort of a form of kink that the ancient Romans had towards the end of their empire or something humorous like that.
