Sparring is key before a real fight. You need to feel confortable sparring with different sparring partners on your weight category and expertise level to be ready for an amateur fight. Keep it up, and good luck 🥊💪

I started sparring when my trainer told me that he thought I was ready.
He invited me to Saturday sparring class.
My first opponent, Jeff, would later become an International Masters Middleweight champion.
He is in red here:
In our first spar, Jeff hit me as hard as he hit his opponent in the Masters Championship Match in the video.
However, he would back off, let me recover, and gave me tips and encouragement throughout our first three rounds.
Harborfighter did the same when I first met and fought him.
So, Ondy, if your trainer has not yet spoken to you about sparring, ask him if he thinks you are ready.
If you have confidence in him as a trainer, then go with what he says.

Hey guys,

I know, I have stupid question but honestly, from the websites what I found on internet by searching I'm really not sure. I want to ask you, what do you need to do to be prepared for true boxing match in ring (with ref, point system etc)?
I'm taking private boxing classes and now we have focus on loosing weight to 70kg (maybe lover) but I also want to know what else should I do.

Thank you for all reactions.

If you’re boxing amateur make sure you can run 2 miles non stop ever other day of your reg boxing workouts and you’ll be ready for a 3 round fight. Make sure you have been training for at least 6-8 months and sparring. And remember the first 30 seconds are the hardest since you’ll be using lighter gloves when you compete. Listen to your coach and the ref, the ref will only say to you stop, break and box. Other then that he will give you hand signals if you do something wrong. Hope that helps!
