The Pledge
I’ve ghosted this site more times than I care to admit. Not out of drama or secret agent missions—usually just because my body or brain decided to tap out as though caught in a good sleeper hold. Between flare-ups of a non-transmissible physical condition and the occasional but significant mental health dip, sometimes I have to tag myself out.
Now, I get it—disappearing like Batman doesn’t always make for lasting friendships. Some folks I’ve wrestled before don’t talk to me anymore. A couple even seemed personally offended by my wrestling style. At one point, that really got under my thong and not in a good way. These days, I just chalk it up to them having their own stuff going on. Or maybe they just really, really hate my choice of holds. Fair enough.
This post isn’t a ploy for sympathy. I just want to be upfront. I’ve got a solid strength due to a past physical background, I take safety seriously, and I genuinely enjoy connecting with people through wrestling—even if I’ve occasionally vanished from this site like a butterfly in a tornado or a badly timed Wi-Fi signal.
If you’re not interested in wrestling me (or wrestling me again), no hard feelings. We’re all just trying to have a good time here, and you owe me nothing—though if you do wrestle me, I’ll try not to vanish mid-grapple.
Thanks for reading. And thanks to those who’ve stuck around—I appreciate your patience more than you know (and yes, I’m working on staying present… like emotionally and logistically).
