Playing as superman would be so fun! Acting all cocky and macho and thinking I’m invincible. Then out comes the kryptonite and then superman is gutpunched and beaten and is in so much pain since he is not used to ever being in pain

Robins would definitely work. Also Spider-Man would be a great option. Maybe even flash or quick silver some one speed based over size and strength.

For heroes, I'd say you're a natural for one of the Robin characters (Robin, Red Robin, etc.) - Green Lantern might be another good option.
