So I had used the Walthamstow ring a few months ago after not having gone in years and noticed a slight change - it's since been converted from a boxing ring into a wrestling ring. This isn't really a big change unless you're someone who pays attention to that kind of stuff but when I had my match there earlier this year, I noticed this squeaking sound everytime we moved and stepped, which I understand is pretty common for pro wrestling rings. However, this inevitably drowned out the sound of trading leather between our gloves and their impact on our bare skin, which is the thing that turns me on the most in a boxing bout. Is there anywhere to perhaps temporarily mitigate the squeaking sound of the ring while still maintaining it as a wrestling ring for others? Alternatively, are there any other venues that have kept their rings as boxing rings?
