Never knew the man but the testimonials are a fitting tribute , to an obviously well loved man.
I’m not to sure how he passed or his friend whom people are speaking about but they both seem far to young to have left .
Sorry I never met them both but hopefully some day we can all meet on the great mat in the sky. Xxx
I only now discover that Chris is no longer here! We met many years ago on yahoo groups and chatted many times on Global. I had the privilege of meeting him in Rome, and it was a dream boxing match!
He fulfilled all my erotic boxing dreams!
RIP Chris!
I remember the first time I saw Chris' profile I was like "This dude will never want to see me, he's too hot, powerful, and experimented". But we saw each other, we talk each other, we box each other, and that was very fine.
He was the guy you could chat with, you could laugh with, you could visit with, not just have fun in gear but also have fun to visit a city and have fun chat with. I'm very honored he took the time to host me, to make me visit London, and to have fun with me. By the way I saw him in Paris another time, thanks to Frboxer.
He was a nice guy, I'm glad to meet him, I'm honored to meet him. He was gentle, respectful, all words for that. Thank you Chris for hosting me, really. Some guys you think they're not for you, well, they are the most gentle, Chris was this kind of guy. Thanks for all, Chris. Miss you.
Chris was one of my fave people: Two years ago we met in Tulum Mexico for a few days of rough sexually charged punching: basically I willingly offered myself as punchmeat. We hit it off as friends immediately and became closer in subsequent months. He’d planned to stop off in nyc to see once more me en route to Australia. I’ll miss him terribly.
I had the privilege to meet Chris on trips to the UK and remember him being a great guy, patient with my very basic boxing, and a lot of fun to spar with. Such a loss that he’s gone.
I am so sorry to hear Oz passed on. He was the first person I met, wayyyyy back on Yahoo groups, then man2manfight club and global, then here. He was such a sweet and nice guy. I had hoped to have met him, even just to have coffee and chat with him. I remember long nights messaging him about gear recommendations and gutpunching training back when I was like 19. He never had a harsh word to say about anyone. Always willing to help out, or lend an ear. His videos were very helpful. And his gear and punching knowledge was the best. I am so sorry and extend my condolences to all his friends and family. He is a legend, and always will be. May you rest in peace man. :'(
Chris and I had scheduled a session in Seattle but he had to cancel last minute. Several years later he made it up to me in Portland. He used 4 types of gloves in a one-sided attack on my abs. He ended up using bare fists and brass knux to drop me. I took the entire session holding my hands behind my head. It was one of the best beatings I've ever received.
Chris / Tye was a true friend. I cannot thank him enough for everything he did for me. This is a real real shock and I'm devastated. Rest in peace, a wonderful, intelligent and kind man.
If anybody can shed some light privately with me over the circumstances here it really would help me
I'm heartbroken to hear that Chris has passed. I've met him a few times in London and had planned to meet him on my current UK trip – I wondered why there was no response to my texts to him. Others have commented on what a tough but kind guy he was, and I can certainly confirm that, but let's be honest – he was also sexy as hell with a hot hairy muscular body. To me he epitimized total masculinity but never let it go to his head. I know he was planning to move back to Oz – so sorry that he never made it, but surely he'll find happiness in heaven.
We just lost a true boxing icon, a role model and a coach. I lost all this and, above all, a true friend.
As Zach mentions, I still remember meeting the -back then- blond boxing angel in Sydney for the first time years ago and hearing a perfectly understandable English accent (while I feared a hard to catch Aussie accent).
Chris spent years moving between Britain and Australia but would still find time to come and visit. We would often chat about boxing and spar, and also go to exhibitions, watch a dance show at Sadler’s Wells or go to see a Sondheim musical. But even spending time just discussing with him over lunch or dinner was a bliss.
Chris also recommended me to meet some boxers on this site and thanks to him I managed to meet some of the greatest fighters and people here.
While Chris appeared to most as a true macho boxing image, who had lots of us fantasise, I discovered over time again and again how much of a caring, loving and respectful person the tough fighter was. A truly generous and helpful friend and even a hypersensitive person. Truly caring and never judgmental, even in hard times.
We miss you dearly, Chris Tye.
And the thought of you -including in full boxing attire - stays bright.
We won’t even need to dim the lights, to think about you. Rest In Peace, Matey!

I am so sad to hear this. I only met Chris once but still have memories of it, and his unique style and collection of gear etched in my mind for ever. RIP Ozboxer. It was too soon.
Thank you for this information and thank you to Alan2005sg for alerting me to this news.
i remembered seeing Chris's profile on a yahoo boxing site in the 90s and while i admired him, I never entertained the thought of ever meeting this handsome man because i never boxed before and i was definitely out of his league .
When i turned 40, i finally picked up boxing and after joining this website, what do you know, Chris messaged and asked to meet for sparring because he was going to be in Singapore! He was the perfect gentleman. Not a mean bone in his body and was super, super nice and kind with my lack of skills . Managed to meet him again a few years later before his move to London and the experience was as great as the first time .
I am glad that we met and I will forever remember his kindness.
RIP Chris ...
I've just heard of Chris' passing and I am in disbelief. We chatted many times over the years and we finally had our match not long ago in his London flat. He uploaded videos of our GP session. Chris was a fantastic person, a man with an interesting background, and a friend. A true legend. He will be missed. RIP, Oz.
I met Oz a number of times over the years and I will dearly miss those heavy hands pummelling my gut as he dropped me. Was watching one of our sessions yesterday. Hard to think he's not with us anymore.
May he be delivering heavy hands wherever he maybe.
MISS YOU C/T
Thank you for letting us know. I am so very sorry to hear this. What a loss. Chris really was a legend and an inspiration to those of us who learnt from him. Tough as nails but a lovely, warm and friendly human being, always willing to meet you half way with what you wanted, and to teach if you wanted that. He will be very much missed. Rest in peace Chris, and thank you.
I just wanted to let those of you who remember OZBoxer from this site and others that he passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021. He was an amazing person, friend, boxer, coach, and human being. We in the boxing community and the fetish community have lost an icon with OZBoxer (Chris) passing away. He will be remembered fondly by those who knew him.
If you remember him, please feel free to comment. Any nasty or negative comments will be reported and then deleted, so please be respectful.

Yes, sadly they are both gone now. I never met Ranger but if he could punch as well as Chris, then I would have never survived a two-on-one!
