Some of us travel and want to train and do not know a good place away from our home city. I am starting this thread so that anyone can ask about a particular place and hopefully someone in the group would have a good suggestion for that city.
Things I would ask, would be 1) Is there a mat fee or is there a certain number of days free?
2) Is it gi or no gi or both
3) what is there website
4) what is the emphasis of the gym or school (I.e, MMA< boxing, BJJ, competition, self defense, etc)
5) what type of crowd trains there? (belt level, experience)
6) quality of instruction
7)which transit routes go to the gym
8) dress code (such as only white and blue gis permitted as an example)
Thus to be the first, any suggestions for Reno, NV
