I used the back yard most of the time. For a short time, I used a wooden fence for one side of he ring, Then ran 3 ropes, anchored against the fence or wall, ran then around two post, serving as two corners, and then anchored the last end of the rope, opposite of where I started. I enjoyed it the most, but basements, hotel or motel rooms and back yards serve nice possibilities,

Love the ring, plenty of room too fight. Are the ropes strong enough if you get backed into them so you can spring off the and get in a good head shot.
Ring us heaps better, more strategy to get opponent into a corner or stay out of the corner yourself, been doing some work in a local park and end up all over the place. Ring keeps it compact and close
I wanted to say I still would love to find competitive, skilled, queensberry fights. I like it as close to the real deal as possible. Yes, I am a female - a small minority here. And I *have* trained and done it, including hard sparring with guys.
Hitting someone with my black leather Reyes 10s was hot and satisfying on so many levels. Gay, str8, bi guys and women, - anyone- welcome. I do not want jobbers or those who like 'self-made' boxing. Please check out my profile. Come n get some! ~ K
I built a ring in my garage several years ago and it has been great for private punching action. But I STILL like it outtdoors someitmes–and nothing hotter than takining a dude around in my truck and stopping at different semi-private places for quick gutpunching action!
BoxerJeremy. Sent him my phone #, he called, hung up as soon as I answered, then blocked my profile for some reason. Didn't say a word, didn't give me time to say anything. Phone number and address belongs to a middle-aged insurance agent, def not the person in his profile pic.
I've built rings in 2 different houses. For normal wood frame construction cut 12 pieces of 2x4 a little longer than the space between wall studs. Secure each with 4 lag screws a little above the height you want the ropes. Install a 3/4 inch lag eyebolt at a 45 degree angle in each stud. Anchor each turnbuckle to the eyebolt and put the steel ring for the rope to pass through on the other end of the turnbuckle. Then install the ring ropes the same as if you had a steel frame. Draw the room and ring to scale before you start as you may need short lengths of chain to lengthen some of the turnbuckles in order for the ring to turn out square.
Hotels and motels becoming more difficult. Modular furniture that can't be broken down; very thick unwieldy mattresses etc. On the other hand, many rings only allow members to use the ring, require head gear and other restrictions. Best option is a truly private ring even if it's not full pro size
I have boxed in mostly motel / hotel rooms, rings (private and gym) and outdoors in parks, yards, garage once and in the wilderness. I always wanted to box on a military base or aircraft carrier like in movies.
I think that depends on the availability of and access to a ring and the preferences or rules where the boxers have agreed. Hotel rooms are a possible locale. It comes down to the available options for the match. In the end, I just want to glove up and box.

You are right about that. I usually have to look carefully in searching for a room or suite that provides enough room to box.

2015-05-01 오후 4:46Where do most guys like to box in? A pro ring or backyard, basement etc?
I had 2 basement boxing matches, no ring just people watching us box.
