Been attending boxing classes for over two years now. I think it's helped my core fitness increase plus shape up a bit. My arms have become huge from punchbag work. I get annoyed when some boxing classes in some gyms are all about fitness and do nor do any technique work or the occasional sparring.

Yes, agree. I have been boxing with my buddies at the university and love the cardio exercise of boxing plus the building of my arm muscles. I have found that nude boxing between special friends is interesting .

The other problem with "fitness" boxing classes is that over time they don't offer enough variety

I know that only too well. It's good to find a class that offers variety - and some sparring too!

My best buddy and I do boxing as an Exercise, to maintain our Adrenaline, in response to stress. WE really enjoy gong into the ring to box, even if, tempers flair. We always come out smelling like a Rose.
Give each other "Hugs" (which are well deserved), no matter how abusive we box each other :) It's great for temper control.
