Wrestling Frequency? Training the body

At the moment I am attending classes once or twice a week. I'm just picking up the odd move here and there so that when I sparr with guys off MF, I can at least put up a decent challenge. Other than that I weight train/cardio/run and box so at least I've got a certain degree of fitness.

How many times a week do you wrestle? How long did it take you to get the hang of it? What seperates a skilled from a nonskilled wrestler?What things do you do to increase your stregnth and endurance? I am in los Angeles by the way always up for a challenge Lol.
