New South London matroom

I'm definitely interested. I'm in south london, but regardless of the location, having a wider choice of venues is good news - I don't mind traveling but you can't always get the availability at the other matrooms.

Have just sent a request to the facebook link to join as I'm often in the London area visiting friends so meeting up with genuine guys for sparing and or friendly matches would be very enjoyable and well worth a trip down.

I'd use it, Lee. Also interested in sessions with other, south London guys.

Hi. Just trying to gauge whether there is any interest at the moment. The existing mat rooms do a great job, but are located so far away. This would serve South London's fighters and is located just south of Croydon. Once there's sufficient interest, I'll make the venue public. If you think its something you may use, there will be more information published at https://www.facebook.com/groups/SouthLondonFightClub/ in the future.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but isn't Croydon the Southern-most London borough? South of Croydon is mostly the Reigate & Banstead district of Surrey. Unless the venue is south of Croydon town, at the complete edge of London, in Purley or Coulsdon or similar.

Easy enough to get to still. People travelling from london can get there via train from london bridge, and being a london borough, an oyster card will get you there, saving having to buy train tickets.

It is a good enough location for the target area (see leelondon's first post) and accessible enough for people commuting via public transport.

Anybody from South London or environs that wants regular access to mats, a private secured room to wrestle/fight in, and potentially regular wrestling sessions with other users, please get in touch. New facilities are always welcome and it'd be great not to always have to head to North London for a matroom to use. And regular wrestling sessions (or classes or tournaments or whatever) with local guys would be even more welcome.
